Instant Garage

I guess “instant” doesn’t really apply, since the project has been going since May …

But the garage magically appeared Thursday morning.  Well not magically really. A large flatbed truck truck with a crane arm and a load of parts and pieces rolled in at 7 a.m. And three guys came with it. They were from Vermont.

A little after 7 am. They start unloading.

The guy standing on the slab is running the crane from a remote control.

I had to go to work, but asked the wife to take some more pictures as the work progressed. It progressed very quickly. By the time she was done with barn chores, a scant 2 and a half hours later, the last truss was being positioned.

They told us that these 3 guys were one of their best crews. Guess so. They sure work fast. By the time I got home from work around 6:30, they were long gone, but had gotten the roof sheathing up on the front.

Pretty amazing.
